Yours is beautiful!  The back of my dress was really simple, so we didn’t want to ruffle it too much, but there was no beadwork or way to hide a standard bustle.  I had a 9-point under-bustle, and I was pretty happy with the result.

I had a 3 point bustle.  (This picture was hours after the dress was bustled.  It looked a lot fresher when we did it right after the ceremony!)

I think mine was a … 7 point? I don’t remember anymore, it may have been 9. I know it was an odd number. But here it is:

Mine was a three point, my dress has a very simple train. Yours looks fabulous! It was definately easier to move around once my dress was bustled.

13 point under bustle here.  Onces its done up, it just looks like a regular floor length dress.

@Mrs Hedgehog: 34?  Holy smokes!  Glad I’m not your Maid/Matron of Honor:)

Mine had 7.  I pretty much decided that I liked it better bustled:

Wow, I had no idea some dresses required so many bustle points!   Mine only has two!  It’s a chapel length train but I opted for the standard bustle instead of the french bustle, so there’s only two points and it takes all of about 30 seconds to get done.

Mine had 8. It was a non-traditional bustle bc my dress was asymetrical.

Mine will have 9 I think, This is the back, I don’t have any bustled…

The only reason for so many is I wanted to keep the lines of the beading straight, so there are 3 buttons for the underlayer, and 6 on the top.

I’ve bustled HUNDREDS of dresses as a planner… if you have the ties, make sure they are numbered or colored.  and make sure someone is with you at the shop when they show you how so you know which ones go first.

If you have a loop that goes onto a metal hook (the least expensive and involved)… be prepared for the loop to come off often unless you are comfortable with someone using tweezers or pliers to ‘pinch’ them closed.  You’ll have to be very careful removing them after you’ve taken your gown off.

If you have the loops over buttons (like mine is) it doesn’t usually move much, but it will make a difference in how the dress hangs depending on what order you do the buttons.

    Good luck!

Just one!  Came with the dress, super easy.  French bustle.
