I think it looks good with the dip!! I think it looks better with it than without it!

Love it with the sweetheart neck.  It adds a pretty touch to it.

I think the dip messes with the ruching and it looks off.  The sweetheart could be done much better, but might be expensive.

It looks awkwardly messy with the dip. Can she actually alter it to a sweetheart for you?

ETA: I just saw your response above. Maybe a reworked dip would turn out better, but the folding along the bust makes me a bit wary of that.

I prefer a soft sweetheart in most strapless dresses too.  But it looks a little off the way it’s done in the picture. I think the seastress has to readjust the ruching.

I agree that having a seamstress find a sweetheart that matches with the rouching is a good idea, because the way it’s pinned now looks like too much going on. A little bit deeper, and I think it’ll be GORGEOUS!

@DoctorandDrLady:  Yes, that’s what I was alluding to by “could be done much better, but might be expensive”.  If you really want it, go for it.  As-is, though, it looks messy, IMO.  I’d leave it straight if those were my only two choices!

i think it looks better straight across, the dip takes away from the dress.

I like the small dip and definitely think you should go with that over leaving it straight.
