I voted butter most of the time, but I never use margarine for anything.

I prefer the taste of margarine when I’m putting it on things like toast and when I cook. But when I bake, I usually do half and half.

I’ve never had a life altering moment with food and found out during the story of it’s making that margarine was used. I’m a purist when it comes to foods. I don’t care for replacements. Butter, cream, salt, sugar. Original is just awesome. Ditto the moderation but I’m on team butter. 🙂

Butter for baking (seriously making icing with margarine should be a crime) and margarine for cooking.

Butter all the way.  I recently discovered pastured butter (butter made from cows that eat grass / things found on the pasture vs. feed) and it’s soooo much better than anything I’ve ever had before!

I personally don’t care, but Whatshisface thinks margarine is cancer-promoting, so I don’t buy margarine anymore.

Butter for baking and either butter or olive oil for cooking.

Before moving to the UK I’d use Pam from time to time. But since moving here it’s butter or olive oil.

I will also cook eggs in bacon grease, and will try to make my oven fried potatoes with duck fat soon (supposed to be even better than oil).

Butter for everything!  I hate margerine.  FI’s mom uses unsalted margerine for everything and it’s like….what’s the point.  I might as well just WET my bread with water, there’s no taste involved!

    Butter 100%

My Mother-In-Law thinks butter and margarine are the same thing and they have just removed the extra fat and calories out of the margarine. Yeah…..

Margarine has chemically taste and doesn’t bake well at all, despite how many people think it tastes good. Baked good made with margarine to me are inedible.

I always prefer margarine. Growing up, I thought it tasted way better than butter, and I guess I still do.
