I made this for my Mum’s wedding last year as she didn’t want any flowers or fuss but she adores buttons and sewing.
When i told her i was making one she said ‘oh god, i don’t know about that’, but in the end she loved it 🙂
I will hopefully be making one for my own wedding this October in white with some cornflower blue in it 🙂
Anyone else got pictures of theirs to share?

Here are the button bouquets and a boutonniere from my best friend’s wedding in 2010! They were so cute- I still have mine displayed in my home!

hopefully i can make a buttonhole for my fiance to wear too. I might just go for a white bouquet like my mums cream one instead of doing multiple colours like yours. Only thing is that i used all the special buttons on my mums! Need to buy more!

This is so cute and sounds like it suits your mum (and you) to a tee!
If you decide you just want a white/cream one have you thought about using your mum’s? If you want to be able to keep your own bouquet then by all means buy more buttons and make your own, but I think it would be really sweet to use her’s as your something borrowed!

My mums outfit pallette was ivory to dark cream with pearls and navy blue (her husband wore navy blue tie etc) whereas mine is a white dress with white beading/slight diamante and pale cornflower blue. So im not sure her dark cream bouquet would go, i have thought about it though.
But then i would also like to make my bouquet as its a nice task for me to focus on and i would love to keep it and display it just like she does hers.
She said i could raid all her button boxes when i go visit soon for white buttons, ive not got many in my stash when i looked earlier tonight. So i am hoping i will have enough for a small bouquet in time for October 🙂
