I have been crushing on a BCBG dress for months and almost bought it for my upcoming wedding. In the end I decided since I hadn’t seen it in person, and would lose a lot of money in shipping and customs if I had to return it, I would just wait to try on dresses and buy one here.
I am going dress shopping with my mom and sisters this weekend and decided that if I didn’t find anything I would bite the bullet and buy it. But I just noticed that there is one in my size on sale on ebay! The sale ends before the weekend. Should I buy it? I might find another dress I like better and I might not. I don’t exactly have a lot of money to work with, so it would not be easy for me to be a two dress bride. I really wanted to find my dress with my family. I feel so torn!

I would send a message to the seller and see if they can extend the days for the bidding. They do have control over that. Or ask them if it does not sell if they will re-list it. I am in the same situation; it is definatly a good idea to try on actual dresses.

i think it’s a good idea to go dress shopping first. things look different on normal people as opposed to models, so you can never be sure if you’ll like it before you try it on!!!

I have seen pictures of the dress on another bride and it looked nice. Also, one of the writers that won an emmy last night was wearing the purple version and it looked fab! I’m not too worried about the sight in person, more about buying the dress without shopping for one. Has anyone bought a dress online without shopping for one in person?
