So, I’m having a hard time deciding wheter to buy the matching wedding band that goes with my ring.
On one hand I think i’d like to have it, cause it matches, is availble (aka not discountined yet), would def add some more sparkle, i could wear it alone…
On the other hand, it’s extra money and I love the way my Engagement Ring looks on it’s own (simple/just one piece/diamond accent on side under diamond mount).
What woud you guys do?

I would recommend getting the band. My sister got married about two years ago and didn’t get a band. All of her friends kept asking her when she was going to add her band and she finally got sick of the comments and went to buy one. She couldn’t find the matching band and had to have one custom made. So, I would get it now while you can.

I love my Engagement Ring so much on it’s own, I have no desire to put a sparkly band next to it to steal it’s thunder. The fact that my band might be discontinued, or that people might ask me about it does not discourage me in the least. It depends where your priorities lie.

I vote yes on the the band. I love a simple, delicate diamond band alongside an e-ring! If you like the look of your e-ring on it’s own, you can always wear it on your right hand and the band on the left hand.

I vote band – – you’ll have options that way, and if you don’t get the band you won’t have options. I concur with toastercat its all about where your priorities are…Not meant to come across in a bad way!

I have lots of friends that are married and never bought a band because they love the way their e-ring looks without one. I think it’s totally up to you- no sense spending the money if you aren’t going to wear the band!

It’s such a gorgeous band, I’d get it because if you decided you wanted a band later, it might be a bummer if you didn’t find one that matched as well as that one.

I voted that you get a band. Now, I’m not saying you should necessarily buy the matching sparkly band, but I think you should get A band.
There are times when I don’t want to wear or I worry about my Engagement Ring with the high-setting (when using harsh cleaning products, certain types of work, working out or in certain “bad” areas) but I stil like to wear a ring to signify my marriage.
Just my 2 cents 🙂

I think you should do what you feel is best for you.
My ering is awesome by itself, but I am getting a wedding band to wear with it. I thought about not getting one, but I want the symbolism of the ring starting a new life together with my Fiance. To me, it will just complete the process.

Down the line do you think you will want a band – when dealing with a young infant (the diamond ring can scratch him/her), for doing activities where you wouldn’t want your main diamond to be at risk?
If the answer of theses questions is no then I think you could forgo it.

I agree with @krissycake….if you get the band that gives you the option to either wear it or not wear it…but then if you do want it you won’t have to struggle to find a matching one that might be discontinued later down the road. If you can afford it, I say go for it!

I think it looks lovely, and you wouldn’t want it to get discontinued like Miss Spaniel’s did. :o)
