I wouldn’t rush to get it, however be on the lookout…you might be able to get a great deal by keeping an eye out (especially around Valentine’s Day there’s ALWAYS good deals on wedding rings then).  Pick one and watch it, if it goes on sale snap it up, if the price of everything starts going up grab it before it gets too high.

We’re keeping our eyes out now, but probably won’t buy for a few months.

I would get it when ever you feel comfortable!  We got engaged a week ago and we already found his band, on sale because its Christmas time, and its 75% off!  We are going to see if its a little cheaper on the after Christmas sale.

I’d say buy it if you see a good deal. Darling Husband bought my ring 9 months before he proposed and during that time the economy tanked so precious metals and diamond prices went up. Soo glad he bought when he did otherwise everything would have been more expensive. Until the economy starts picking up, I think precious metal prices will stay high….

I bought my fiance’s wedding band last summer even though we’re not getting married until next November. But I am having him hold off on mine until at LEAST April because if we have it at home I will want to wear it!Tongue Out

We got my band about 2 months into our 2 year engagement because I wanted the matching band and the cost of the ring was going to increase (per the designer’s “mandate” I guess) so we snatched it up before that happened.

We already bought mine because of the cost of gold.  I’d def start window shopping for ideas. and wait for the right moment to spring into action

The other thing to consider is that the price of gold is ASTRONOMICAL right now. Like 50% more than it was a few months ago. I would watch the market a bit to see if it’s going up or down, and definitely keep an eye out for sales and deals!
