I bought my dress already. We dont have the venue picked out, but we do have a rough date. In my defence though, I didnt go out intending to get a dress.

I reccomend at least going and trying on dresses before you purchase one offline. I know from experience that what you think will look good on you and what does in fact look good on you arent always the same.

I actually had put a deposit down on one dress before we had a venue picked out, but wound up with something totally different once our venue was set (beach). I would recommend getting the venue picked at least. The season/date will kind of play a part, but if you know that’s the dress that you want, then go for it!

Have you tried on dresses with a similar shape/style before? I would also urge you to do that. I had my heart set on a huge, princess ballgown and wound up with a super simple mermaid gown being my dream dress.

Unless you think its going to be a very long engagement, I don’t think its a problem. 🙂

I would pick the date/venue first. Your vision for the wedding might change once you see where it will be
