Hey guys, so I was wondering if anyone had any success buying their dress online. I think I want a blush wedding gown, which I know can be harder to find, but I’ve seen a few horror stories on here of people who bought their dress online and it was a complete disaster. Is buying a dress online that you haven’t tried on in person ever a good idea?

I wanted to custom design my dress and I ordered from an etsy seller called gownsbylindaandagnes. I will let you know how my dress comes out. It should be ready sometime in the next 2 weeks. Here is the link to another bride who ordered through them.

My dress cost $450. The ladies who run the shop are super nice and always ask questions to be sure they know what I want and were willing to work with my budget because I’m trying to get 2 dresses so I can only spend so much on each one.

cairparavel: I bought mine online at preownedweddingdress.com it was a Pnina Tornai dress for $1900 never worn for a wedding it was a sample. The shop I got it from gave proceeds to charity. I just went and and tried on the VERY similar dress a s bridal store near me. I love it glad I ordered mine. If you know what you want I would say go for it.

I bought a sample online, but I had tried on many dresses at stores so I knew what silhouettes looked okay on me.

Seconding what
Bored6 suggested. Also, check their return policy! I ordered from a site that offered free shipping and return and didn’t read the fine print until after I decided to return – it was free returns up to a certain dollar amount!

I mean you should always try store bought first, you know what you are getting plus you know it is a legit designer. Plus blush dresses are not all that hard to find. I work at a bridal shop and we have several for reasonable prices.

I bought my gown online from http://www.bestbridalprices.com without trying it on first, and I’m really happy with it. I did visit a local salon beforehand to try on dresses in a variety of styles to see which ones suited me best.

i also suggest trying on gowns first, because what you think you like may not be what you really want in the end. i always thought i would go for something flowier, but in the end i fell in love with a mermaid and scored my mori lee 5108 for USD500 on preownedweddingdresses.com. you could also try looking at prom dresses.
