A&E-52I ordered my dress [content moderated for violation of replica discussion policy] and had an absolutely wonderful experience with them. It was only $20 to have the dress custom made to your sizing and their dress pricing is just incredible. I was so pleased with my dress. The detailing was beautiful! Since the dress is shipped from overseas there was a $30 customs charge, but the dress was an absolute steal compared to buying from a wedding shop here in the states.

mrsbadduck:  I just bought a sample off preownedweddingdresses.com…. Totally painless! My dress arrived today, but I am at work and won’t see it till Sunday.

I think if you buy from a legit site i.E best bridal prices then you will get s good product, but beware of the sites that offer designer dresses at a fraction of the price!! Those are definitely not legit. I also would have never bought a dress online if I had not tried it on in person.

I ordered my gown from bestbridalprices.com, and I was very happy with the experience.  I think they’ve got a brick-and-mortar store in Illinois.

I bought 2 dresses online. One from lightinthebox and one from beckydress. Both were great quality and great deals. I went with the one from beckydress because I like the cut of it better since I’m short and my tea length dress didn’t work for me. I paid extra to have them custom fitted and love the dress.  For 140 dollars it was the perfect solution for me!

Just a reminder that replica dress makers are not to be discussed here on Weddingbee.  Online sites are okay, but replicas are not.  Thanks!

I bought mine from Lace Marry on Etsy, she does not do replicas but her own designs. My dress came in last week and I am in LOVE!

I’m selling mine online, so I would say yes, you could find a genuine designer dress online and it would be fine. If you are hesitant about individual sellers, there are quite a few boutiques who will sell their samples online. Then you could at least look up their business and make sure they are legitimate before buying. Reputable sites will give you a refund if you don’t get what was advertised in the pictures. Also, if you find a website that allows you to use PayPal it greatly decreases your chance of getting ripped off. That said, you should try on at least a similar dress to get an idea of how it will fit. Best of luck!

I got mine from eBay. Custom made and gorgeous; you’d never know it was $137.

Not me (i got mine at a thrift shop LOL) but one of my closest friends got hers on lightinthebox.com – it was STUNNING and looked very expensive. I think she paid like $200 for it – custom made!!

I bought a preowned Pnina Tornai off of preownedweddingdresses.com. I had an amazing experience and I got my dream dress for a quarter of what it’s worth brand new! Needless to say, I am a very happy bride 🙂
