@ccblink29:  That’s a nice ring.. what is your finger size? Smaller stones look larger on smaller hands and vice versa.

It will be substantial with a 2 ct center. If you like a LOT of finger coverage, go for it!

@ccblink29:  I think a 1.5 – 2 carat would look amazing!

I’m also a size 7, but that’s way too much coverage for my preferences. Have you tried on any 2ct halos in person? 2cts is pretty substantial by itself.

I have a more petite halo ring from MoissaniteCo with a 1.25 carat center stone with my size 5.5 finger and I get comments ALL the time about it. It’s small enough to be in good proportion to my hands without being gaudy, but it definitely still stands out. I think the 1.25-1.5 range would be great for you! Heres a picture just for comparison

I prefer the look of halos with a .75 – 1.25 ct centre stone, personally, as a halo adds size as is. I find large stones with halos look a little costumey or like mini UFOs. However, it is totally personal preference and many, many would vehemently disagree with me!

I would contact customer service and ask what the halo will measure for an 8mm stone since it will be proportional to the size. So, if they say you get a 1.5-2mm halo on 2ct stone, you can cut out an 11-12mm circle and see how you like the look (remember it won’t show you height or anything though!)

Remember that Halos make rings waaaay bigger!

I have a 5.75 finger, and a 1.5 carat solitaire. Because it doesn’t have a Halo, it was actually smaller than I anticipated. Whereas a .75 carat looks huge with a halo!

So 2 carats will be ENORMOUS! haha, even 1.5 will

I have a 1.25 carat moissy in my halo and it is plenty! I have larger fingers too I am a size nine.  Sometimes a little less is more I think! Beautiful ring!

Hey, I have a moissanite 8mm center with a smaller halo than the embrace style.  I’m also a ring size 7.  Hope this helps 🙂

I don’t have a halo, but I do have a bezel set which also makes the stone look a little larger than it is. I have a 1.5ct moissy, and a size 7 finger. I love the size of mine, and any bigger I’d worry about it looking gaudy. However where I live the average size is under a carat, and simple solitaires, so mine already stands out!

I have a 1ct., 2ct. with the surrounding diamonds but it also depends on how big of a diamond the setting can hold, according to my jewler my ring couldn’t hold a bigger diamond and if it did it would look weird. Also take into consideration your finger size!! I have small fingers (size 5) so all the rings that I tried on that were larger than a 1ct. looked so ridiculous.
