I bought mine the week before I got engaged! I was 100% sure that it was happening though! I did not plan on buying one, i actually just went for fun with my mom because we both were so excited about my upcoming engagement, but found one i loved!!

One of my friends did this… But then after she got engaged officially, she ended up finding another dress she loved despite being so sure about the one she got before she got engaged.

If you are still obsessed with it, I say go for it! After buying though, unless you have the budget to buy more than one dress, I would recommend to stop looking.

I personally wouldn’t look at dresses prior to being engaged. That’s sort of putting the cart before the horse.

I would probably have stalked dresses and had my dream one in my cart and ready to be purchased on a moment’s notice, but no, I would not buy it before a ring was on my finger.

I got my dress a solid year before we got engaged BUT it was becuase it was very inexpensive and was my dream dress that I happened to stumble upon. We actually booked our venue before getting engaged too cos it has a loooong waiting list so it was our little secret for months! ๐Ÿ™‚

Each to their own.

I dunno if I would’ve gone dress shopping and spend thousands or anything though. Nah.

Just wait. It’s tempting fate IMO- funny though how we get hooked on stuff. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

farmfreshjoy :  Same. I personally feel like that’s a surefire way to jinx the whole thing.

Have you looked for the Demetrios preowned? You might still be able to find your dream dress and at a fraction of the cost by now. I would NOT buy until you are engaged, feel like it’s just inviting trouble, but it wouldn’t hurt to look. Good luck!

I always had a vision of what  my dress would look like and I ended up getting something totally different. If you go before your engaged you wont get to have that first try on with your freinds and family there. I brought all my brideasmaids Maid/Matron of Honor and My mom and his mom and it was a great memory. Unless you dont care to bring anyone that doesnt know already.
