I don’t have experience with the site, but I would place an order for six plates first so you can see their quality and make sure you like them before ordering all of them.

For the record, I have found that buying vs. renting is often a better deal. I priced rental linens, and then searched online for the same linens, and it was EXACTLY the same price to buy them! And like the chargers, I can resell them after the wedding and at least get some of the $$ back.

I definitely think you could resell the chargers and get maybe $100 back, by the way.

I’ve heard good things about that website. I actually ordered mine from saveoncrafts.com because I was dead set on square silver chargers, and they were great. Good luck 🙂

Macy’s sounds like a great deal and I’m sure the quality is decent too!  Another place you may want to consider is Hobby Lobby or another crafter’s store.  They often have coupons as well.

I would definitely buy and then sell to another bride on this site or Craigslist.  As a matter of fact, you may want to check there before buying new and get yourself an even better deal.

Good Luck!

I got mine at Wal*Mart. They were 4 in a box for $5.00, so $1.25 each; plus tax. You should be able to find them either with the Christmas stuff or the home decor stuff.

@jindc: I also got mine at Walmart but during their after Christmas sale. They were a set of 4 for $5.00, but during the sale they were 50% off so I got 4 for $2.50. Since you have some time I would wait until after Christmas and then clear out some Walmarts Christmas supplies…they are plain silver just like the ones in your picture. Otherwise do you have a Christmas Tree Shops in your area? They have some there for I think $1.35 a piece or check out Hobby Lobby. They also sell them.

I got the gold ones, and I didn’t wait to purchase them on sale because I wanted to make sure that I was able to get the quantity that I needed.

Are you located in DC? I’m in MD and have about 100 silver beaded charger plates! I used them for my wedding back in May, and would like to pass the tradition down to someone else. I received them from another bee and am looking to pass to another. Let me know if your interested. Since you’re so close i’d be willing to part with them for $100! a dollar a plate!
