Okay I don’t know if I’m breaking some sort of “rule” or something but I’m considering buying a couple items from my own registry. I registered for a dish set that I love and I see it is now on clearance for a great price. I’m sure no one will buy it for us before it’s clearanced out, and I don’t want to miss out on it.
Is it wrong to buy it for myself? It is at Kohl’s and they give a 15% discount for items on a registry, but I wonder if they’ll give me that discount if I bought it with my own Kohl’s account. Hmm…

Nah, I think it’s totally fine.

Well, so much for that idea! Apparently those items, along with almost everything else in our registry, is “no longer available.” We registered 2 months ago and our wedding is 4 months from now. I didn’t realize that would be too soon. Well, time to recreate a whole new registry.

Booo. I totally think it’s fine to buy off your own registry, especially in cases like this. Better add a once-over of the registry to my list of things to do before we send out the invites!

Hello date twin! We are registering at Kohls as well. I’m glad we haven’t actually done it yet! We really need to, but I’m so concerned we will have the same problem!

@mrstj2b: Yeah, I’m wondering if I should even start adding more items now or wait longer. I like Kohls, but they clearance things out so quickly!
Although my Maid/Matron of Honor is going to be sending out shower invitations in January so I probably should add some things!

I registered at Kohls as well. I purchased all the bedding from our registry. When it’s on sale, plus an additional 30% off, free shipping and Ebates, I couldn’t pass it up.
