Okay, so fiance and i went to kays and zales just to get his finger sized so i would know what size to get when i buy his wedding ring… but of course, he’s a 10.5 at kays and an 11 at zales. He said both feel the same. And I plan to buy his ring online from neither kays nor zales…
So which size do you recommend?? Do people’s fingers usually get bigger the older they get?? I was leaning toward 10.5 cuz i thought I’d rather it be a little snug than slip off, but then i dunno.

Did you try the exact same ring on at both places? If the ring you buy is thicker than the ones he tried, go for the 11, if it was thinner, go for the 10.5.
Usually guy’s hands will get a bit bigger, and due to swelling in the heat, the larger size will likely be mroe comfortable in the hotter months.

Band widths make a big difference as well, as do comfort and regular fit.

I think get the larger size to be on the safe side and get it resized if it’s too big.

I say go for the 11. It is cooler now (In NY, at least – I’m not sure where you are), and it is good to have a bit of leeway for summer swelling.

@juliette.eliza: they just had him put on those thin bands they use to size your finger, it wasn’t an actual ring. So an 11 would be safer since those bands they use are thin??

What is the temperature like where you are? If it is cool out, then go the 11 since in the summer his fingers will swell.

I would go with the smaller size. Speaking from experience (my fingers have changed size due to weight gain and loss), it’s much easier (and cheaper) to get a ring sized up rather than sized down. I would order the 10.5 and then have it sized up should he find it too tight.
