I bought mine off the rack…it was for budget concerns though, not time.

I bought off the rack for budget, not time, restrictions. I don’t have a picture handy but it’s really pretty! There are SO many gorgeous dresses out there – you will find “the One”!

Just try to look as early as you can so you have time for any alterations that need to be made. I was surprised how many times I am supposed to go back (3-4 times total).

Yes I bought mine of the rack not because of budget or time issues. Just I happen to fall in love with a dress of a prior season:

I didn’t buy off the rack, but I can share my experience.

Most of the salons I went to, you could buy the sample gowns then and there. It was discounted by a certain percentage, so they had tons of gowns (pretty much every gown in the store.)

This is great if you are between a size 8-12 because that was what the majority of the dresses were in. If you are much smaller or larger, your options would be more limited.

Good luck!

I got mine off the rack because I was a 2006 collection and it was the last one left in the store.

I bought mine off the rack because I really loved the dress but made the “mistake” of trying it on while it was way out of budget… As I would have ordered the same size as the sample anyway it just made sense to ask for the sample instead!

I bought mine off the rack at the end of December because I was concerned about time. It had absolutely nothing wrong with it! It was a smaller size so it probably had not been tried on much. Once I get some pro pics I will post.

@NewMrsAnderson:

It’s an old pink (vintage) colour. Somewhat between grey and pink.

I bought mine off the rack, mostly for time concerns – I was looking about 6-7 weeks before the wedding.

It was in great shape and fit me perfectly (lower price was a bonus). It was one of the smaller sizes and also in the section geared for the destination brides so perhaps had not been tried on as frequently as some of the other dresses so there were no signs of wear or damage. The only thing I actually needed to do was get it hemmed (I had her put in cups since I am busty, but ripped them out and found a long line bra instead as the cups made me spilleth over too much!). They still did the alterations in store and had it cleaned & pressed for me and I picked it up a day or two before I left for my wedding.

If you are a “sample size” you should have little issues finding something. Though, I do know some stores also carry larger sizes now as “samples” so that may not matter either!
