We live in a small town and it is expensive to bring in a videographer for our 30 minute ceremony, so we want to just buy our own camcorder and have a family member man it for us. Any recommendations for something around $200-300?

@BrookeBQ: I think it is a little much to ask someone to handle recording but I would set up a tripod at the ceremony and the reception and then ask someone to move the camera after the ceremony. 🙂

We got this one for recording ours!
DH’s Brother-In-Law recorded our entire ceremony and speeches/cake cutting at the reception!
But he also started 30 minutes before the ceremony started, which ended up being AMAZNG. I got to see what Darling Husband was doing while I was doing getting ready pictures and a first look with my Dad!
And it was SO CUTE to see him nervous and pacing.

@Payless: Hi, thanks, my bridesmaid’s husband offered to do it and even hold it around during the reception to get some well wishes from guests. Otherwise we wouldn’t ask someone to 🙂
