It is beautiful! Congratulations!  I have no idea if it is real or not, but it sounds like you did your homework.  Get it appraised as soon as you get it and if its not real, return it!  Hopefully you paid with paypal, because they are pretty good about settling disputes with dishonest sellers. But really, it is stunning!  What are you going to do about a wedding band, since that e-ring is an irregular shape?

That ring is very typical of the under 1k in Kay’s JCPenney etc.  That Gem lab is not accredited either. I vote pass

if its advertised as a diamond of that quality and you bought it through paypal they protect your buys, i’d take it to a jeweler for a look and if its not what the ad said it is you can get your money back through paypal.

if its an estate/previously owned ring then the price seems fine because rings barely re-sell at most at half the price paid in the store.

@morganboo163:  If you received the ring, call a local high end jewelery store and get it appraised asap.  It’ll cost you about $75-100 and you’ll know whether the “certificate” is real.  The other option is to send it to GIA for official certification, but that costs $500 and you won’t get it back in time for a return.

@morganboo163:  No because you’re paying for an appraisal, it’s a service they offer so you aren’t taking advantage of them.  I would call ASAP to make an appointment though because they don’t always have the appraiser there so you need to find out when they will be there and usu. appointments fill up.

I’ve never heard of that grading lab before, which isn’t a great sign, but if you love it, that’s all that really matters. I think some people worry about getting the GIA-graded, triple excellent, etc etc etc diamond, when all that matters in the end is if YOU love the ring.

Don’t bring it to a mall jeweler to look at it, get it appraised. Find someone in your area and set up an appointment.

My Mother-In-Law and SIL have this set and you can get it at a lot of jewelers. The round diamonds outside of the marquise are attached to the wedding band. I would check the online price and then if you can get it cheaper on eBay go for it! Of course you should get it appraised right away within the return period so you can make sure it’s the real deal.

I would return the ring for sure.
