I’m interested in this topic since I’m thinking about buying my dress online too. I love Jasmine’s site, but it’s still too expensive for my budget. But I’m afraid other websites won’t have as beautiful results. Hopefully other Bees will give us good advice from their experience. 🙂

I bought my dress online as well as my BM’s dresses. I used netbride for my dress.  They are awesome.  They do not carry AA though.  I got my AA BM dresses at pearl’s place.  You should check them out as they were cheaper for me then rk.

I donno about shipping abroad. that will cost you but prob not as much as renting.

My only worry is that you do not get to try it on. My advice would be to try on a dress of that fit (ballgown) and material type (tulle) see if you like that  then I would order the dress online so you have at least a better feel if you would like it or not. I have heard lots of positive experiences from rk bridal.

I too was nervous of buying my reception dress on-line. It’s such a big and important purchase. I had a really good experience with Jasmine’s Bridal. It can take a while to get correspondance through email back and forth, but their work has been great. You can check out my posts that have my dress photos.

Another one to try is Dressilyme. They also have pretty good reviews/dresses. Their prices are also a bit more affordable.

Both companies have many boards filled with brides’ experiences with them and photos of their dresses. I would highly suggest though to go to bridal stores just to try on different styles of dresses so you know what you like and don’t like. Many times you fall in love with a picture of a dress but then you don’t like it as much on you, or you don’t think you like a certain style but then you find you love it on you! Good luck with whatever you choose. If you try a different online company just make sure you do lots of research on their reviews and policies (as I’m sure you already know – as it shows you are already doing this). Best of luck! 🙂

@Yara23:  If you are going to oder an online dress I’d suggest a corset back because if the fitting on the top isn’t perfect you have more ‘leeway’ than if it is a zipper/button back.

I bought my dress from http://www.bestbridalprices.com without trying it on first.  It was probably a risky move, but it worked out very well, I was really happy with the dress when it arrived.

@Yara23:  I think first, you need to tell us if you want an authentic designer gown or a replica made in China.

For an authentic gown purchased on-line, sites like RKBridal, Best Bridal Prices, and Pearl’s Place (although I don’t think she does on-line payment) are where to shop.  I actually purchased my Allure 8769 from Best Bridal Prices.  They have a brick and mortar store in Illinois, and ship internationally FREE.

If you want a replica, either Jasmine’s or DressilyMe.  Jasmine’s tends to be a bit more expensive, but from what I understand, the craftsmanship is excellent.
