Two days ago bf and I were out shopping and he took me to a store that’s right next to the jewelry store. I jokingly said we could go see the ring I picked out and he said sure, you can show it to me in person. So I take him over to it and a salesman starts helping us.
He mentions an upcoming sale next week and says he can tell bf more but that I have to leave. I look at bf and he says, go on, I’ll indulge. So I walk away but there’s a mirror where I can see what’s going on. The salesman leaves to get some papers (presumably the ones that have my ring size) and is joined by a man who let me try on the ring a month ago and recognized me. They’re all talking for a while, like 15-20 minutes. That’s a while for bf because if he ain’t interested, he’s leaving. The guy I know from before walks over to me, smiling, while the other one is still talking to bf. I said thumbs up or down? He said he couldn’t tell me anything but that he thinks I’ll be a very happy woman sometime soon and everything will work out. I said to bf, you were over there a while and he said yeah I had to let them do their spiel. I told him he should have asked if they were doing that sale sometime again this year. He replied with a strange smile, yeah that would have been a good idea, huh?
Maybe I’m reading into things but his expression seemed to say “oh, I’ve got her fooled”. I added, because I know you’re not going to buy it next week. And there was silence…no yes, but not a no either! And guess what he told the salesman? He said I’m not going to buy it today because she’s standing right over there. All this time he’s been saying money is the issue but he told them the reason for not getting it was because I was there with him. Oh and this sale is too good to pass up. The setting is tacori and it will take 15% off…
What do you think bees? Is this just waiting induced craziness or am I onto something? Btw, we’re going to Vermont for a few days tomorrow but I know nothing will happen, so I’m just going to enjoy it for what it is. 🙂
