We are just planning and have 14 months to go.
I pretty sure I know the overall theme and colors I want. It’s going to be October 2011, so I thinking of sticking with a fall theme. We both love the outdoors and fall is our favorite season.
I was thinking that I should take adavantage when this fall season decorations get put on clearance. Which would mean I would be buying things a year in advance. It seems to make sense plus it would help out the budget a lot

How could this possibly be a bad thing unless you change your theme? If you wait you’ll need to either buy everything online (and pay shipping!) or wait until this time next year for it to come around again and pay top prices.
clearance aisles are the way to go!!

I say if you are the type of person to make up your mind and stick with it yes buy buy buy!
If you are like me and change your mind 1000000 times NOOO

I agree with @PaperCrane. If you know what you want, get it on clearance!!!
That’s one reason why I’ve GOT to figure out my bridesmaids in time for halloween of next year! LOL! So they can grab costumes when they go on sale, lol. provided they don’t have one already… (our theme, btw, if fantasy)
As long as you’ve got a place to store it safely, then go for it! 🙂 One less thing to worry with later, right? 😉

I would absolutely do it, as long as you won’t stress yourself out by changing your mind. 🙂

i say that if you are positive on your theme and colors then go for it! i started planning and buying a year out and have found tons of deals and sales and use my 50% off coupon every time i go to the craft store to buy something new! and you can think of alternate uses for things too.
like we are having the guestbook be the pages that guests take to their tables and fill out so we needed 3 containers to put the papers and markers in and i found the perfect ones on christmas clearance for 75% off and we just need to spray paint them black!
