If you don’t mind me asking, why would you need to wait another 5 years? My Fiance and I are on the same boat. We are getting married in January, and we’re also hoping to buy a home; however, we do not qualify yet. I was a part-time teacher last year, and was just offered a full-time teaching position yesterday. I’m so excited. My Fiance is also in the process of starting a new job. However, we have not been working long enough to qualify for a house because you need to be at your job for at least two years. We were thinking of moving in with my mom after the wedding, but have recently decided since we have enough saved, we would like to rent a place so that we can have our space. I hope you the best of luck. If you can move out, I would recommend it.

@highschoolhoneys: I know, I think both are equally as frustrating though at the time of each we can never think of anything that could POSSIBLY be so hard to wait for!!! Lol
@7yearlovestory: well, by the time we save $30 000 AT LEAST (that’s to buy in an ok area where I wouldn’t be 100% happy raising my children) and by the time a teaching contract rolls around (those are hard to come by, lots of casual work, and long blocks of casual work- but a proper contract is hard, even then they are only 12 month contracts!) so it would be hard to be approved due to the “instability” of my job. we’re getting a new dog on Friday – hopefully it causes a bit of tension and she starts to make life difficult for all of us! Lol. It’s a medium sized dog and she doesn’t want it in the house, but I do! We’ll see! Lol
