I was wondering if anyone bought their wedding ring online and the pros and cons of doing so. I was looking at places like overstock and amazon. They had very lovely rings, but the prices seem too good to be true. I also looked at gemvara, but the ring I want is too expensive.
FYI I am looking for a yellow gold band with alternating white and black diamonds at the 300 dollar range.
Please share your experience if you bought online. Thanks in advance.

My Fiance bought my engagement/wedding ring set from Etsy (Wexford Jewelers to be exact – http://www.etsy.com/shop/wexfordjewelers?ref=seller_info ) and our experience was really good, the only issue was sizing. I had gotten my finger sized at Zales but Fiance ordered the wrong size, and then we found out the size was wrong again so it had to get sized a second time. However, customer service and everything was very good with them. So my biggest piece of advice would be to get a method of sizing directly from the jeweler. This is all from an indie jeweler though, not a big box like Amazon or overstock, so the concerns may be different!!

I got my WR from this site: http://www.debebians.com/
They made the ring to order and it came promptly. I would definitley recommend them.

@OctBride-2012: Agree! I got my right hand eternity band from debebians. Very good diamonds, very well made ring.

Here is mine. It’s the middle ring. Debebians was the only place I could find a band with the same size and quality of diamonds as my e-ring in 18kt gold.

Both of your rings are gorgeous! I’m a little late to the party, but I also have made several purchases from deBebians. We got all of our wedding jewelry from them.

@lulu_honey: Thank you!
I looked up your e-ring and it’s a beauty. I just love rose gold.

Overstock is not a bad place to purchase from.
Pros of Overstock:
- you can return items
- items are “overstock” not fake
- you can read reviews
- lower cost
- more options
- hard to tell the real size of stones
- getting the right size
I just bought two tungsten bands from them and was suprised by the quality, they are great. I couldn’t find a tungsten band in the style my SO wanted from a jewler but did find it online! They were $50 from overstock it would have been $250 at a jewler.
