Hi bees,
I’ve been looking at wedding rings and a couple on Blue Nile have caught my eye. Since it’s so much cheaper than buying in store it seems tempting to get them online but does anyone have any experience with them?
Hi bees,

Not with Blue Nile, but we but my hubby’s band online [from Ebay, nonetheless] and it was just fine. I might be more hesitant with bling…but as long as you’ve checked out their return policy, you should be fine!
We didn’t go through blue nile, but we bought both my engagement ring and my husband’s wedding band online (though we bought my band in the store). As long as you know your size ahead of time and the company has a decent return policy I’d say go for it!
DOO ITT! It’s so much cheaper to do it this way. In fact (and unfortunately I have to pull the “i’m not familiar with Blue Nile” card, although I get their ads on Facebook all the time and they’re to DIE for!), some places will allow you to ship in-store and still pay the online price.
Two pointers? (aside from the return policy as stated above, obvi!) Know your size and know what looks good on you! I thought I’d go for a brilliant cut with pave all down the shank but stuck to a much simpler, elegant design once I’d tried it on.
In a way, it’s like buying your wedding dress online.
Buying online is totally fine, especially if you can find a better deal. Like some of the others said, it’s helpful to know your size and know their return policy. I would also suggest not buying unless it comes with a GIA diamond grading report–that way you’ll know (for sure) all the characteristics of the stone you’re buying. GIA created the 4 C’s in the first place and they have the best reputation in the industry. Their reports are known for their accuracy and their strictness in grading. If you get this report with your online purchase, there shouldn’t be any surprises (hopefully!) Good luck and post a pic of the ring once you decide!
My Blue Nile e-ring:
Fiance and I were both pleased with Blue Nile and will likely get my wedding band from them as well. They frequently offer coupons and they have a decent return policy.
