I feel your awkwardness. A ring I’ve been drooling over just went on sale for Christmas and I want to get it so bad. Having a hard time justifying spending that much on myself though. Especially when an engagement ring might be coming soon. Even on sale it’s pretty damn expensive.

I see no problem with buying myself jewelry. I do it all the time! No need to wait for a guy to buy it for me. If I want a pretty RHR, I’m geting it!!

I actually started wearing rings when the feeling got too strong. It started with a $3 ring. then my grandma got me a nice white sapphire/cz and silver ring. and that satisfied me in the materialistic sense, but i couldn’t “trick” myself into thinking it is something other then what it is. every time i slipped it onto my left ring finger i felt the alarm bells run off it my head and i changed it back, I attribute it to my pointer finger being a size 7 and my ring finger being a size 5.
I liked wearing the rings because it got my mind away from the materialistic aspect and i started wanting the PROMISE of engagement more. I even got myself a Bee ring off Etsy just because i wanted it. My SO even bought it for me because I am his Hunnie Bee.
Word up, if you want it and you can afford it and have no intention of passing it off as an e-ring, even in your own head, then get it! you deserve it!

Last year my Grandad died and my Gran gave me some money with strict instructions not to save it, or pay bills or do anything sensible with it. I decided to buy a beautiful RHR to remember him by. The ring I picked out is techincally an engagement ring. I love looking at it every day. It makes me feel excited about one day getting an e-ring. Treat yourself! My BF even said that when it came to an e ring it would be hard to beat my RHR! ha ha.
