I’m making my veil and went to C&M Textiles over the weekend to pick up supplies.
Tulle: (in diamond white) 108″ X 36″ = $4
Lace for trim: 108″ = $12
Comb and thread = $4
I’m about a quarter of the way through making it (I’ve spead maybe 2 hours so far while watching the Oscars) and I’m pleased with the results. It looks like one I saw at the bridal shop for $200.
Also good to know: C&M has a really great selection of wedding stuff: trim, beading, buckles and brooches. They also have ready-to-wear veils at reasonable prices. I saw a nice one for $84.

I have been considering making my own veil, this is very helpful thank you for posting the information 🙂
I have just a few questions if you dont mind, where did you find the instructions on how to make one and did you find it difficult to make?(I have no crafting experience)

@christinebean: Thanks for the heads up! I’m looking into making a sash for myself, so maybe there will be something here.

Really? It turned out OK? Was it pure white? I’m worried about it matching my dress which is almost white.
