This if my first post (of probably many to come)!! I have a question for brides who have done a BYOB reception in the city.
I am having about 200 guests at my reception and I have the option to do BYOB.
I’m very tempted by this because I imagine saving quite a bit of $$$ on alcohol; however, I have NO CLUE how much alcohol to buy for the wedding. Has any other bride had a BYOB reception for this amount of people that could tell me how they went about doing this? Or at least tell me what their experience was like having a BYOB wedding?
I’d greatly appreciate it!!

ChiBride2015: There are websites that can help you estimate the amount of liquor you need depending on the type of alcohol your guests prefer.
You can also get good information from the sales reps. It’s always better to overbuy, as many places will let you return unopened bottles.

julies1949: Great idea! I didn’t think about asking the sales rep. I’m sure they should have a good idea of how much to buy. Thanks!!

ChiBride2015: I might be a little late to the party, but you can go to Binny’s and they will help you out. Plus you can return any unopened bottles to them, so if you do overbuy, its not a big deal.

LindyLu: Definitely not late to the party! My wedding isn’t until July 2015 🙂
That’s awesome news about Binny’s! I think my fiance and I will go that route for sure 🙂
