It’s in Chicagoland, but not Chicago proper – but the Highland Park Community House allows you to bring in your own food and drink.

@Erineo: Check out the DANK Haus in Lincoln Square. one flat fee for a venue and everything can be brought in. Good luck!

not sure if you’re still looking but we were basically in the same situation (fiance is a chef) and we went with Prairie Production – bringing in our own everything.

Kitchen Chicago lets you BYOB with just a bartender retained- caterer just has to be licensed no staff has to be on site.

The Newberry library allows you to bring your own booze….it’s a gorgeous, classic venue!
