I started mine on a treadmill.  It worked out just fine for me!

I started mine over a year ago on the treadmill – some of them are really easy to set up with the interval changes which makes it easy too.  You can also redo a few weeks outside once it warms up! Good luck you can do it!

I have been doing this on a treadmill…I am super new to running so I started at 5mph as my jogging speed and am going to restart the program at like week 4 or 5 at 5.5mph…then once I finish it again start it up again at 6mph….

Yup, I do it on the treadmill… I’m on the tail end of week 4. I usually run at a 6 (10 minute mile) and walk somewhere between 3.5 – 4 depending on how well I’m feeling.

If you can, try to vary the elevation. Putting it at 1% incline for a few minutes at a time will help simulate the variation of running outside and help you avoid repetitive strain injury from always running in the same position.

I started this about 4 months ago and have been going back and forth between a treadmill and running outside depending on the weather. I’m not using it to actually train for a 5k but more to get into running shape. It’s definitely a great app! I like @jboltz19‘s idea of starting the program over once you complete it at a certain speed. I’m definitely going to give that a try now. Good luck everyone!
