i’m glad you feel me on this! lol cuz a lot of people don’t get it! thanks! i will have a blast 🙂 i just bought my new swimsuit lol!
the cabbage soup is basically u have this soup as many times as you want during the whole 7 days (it’s not just cabbage lol!). it’s actually pretty good! the more you eat it the more you are suppose to lose weight.
i haven’t been hungry on this diet! you can eat unlimited fruits and veggies on certain days and unlimited steak/chicken/fish on certain days.
it’s pretty much going vegetarian for 5 days. no big deal.
i just snack on veggies and fruits throughout the day.

this is off from http://www.cabbage-soup-diet.com/recipe/
- 6 large green onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
- 3 Carrots
- 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
- 1 bunch of celery
- half a head of cabbage
- 1 package Lipton soup mix or onion soup
- 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
- 1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.
i do half of this recipe to keep my soup fresh. the recipe above is for the whole 7 days. this half recipe lasted me 3 days. what i do is saute shallots and then add the green pepper and celery. wait for it till it’s not so hard anymore, but you don’t want it to be so soft cuz it will still be cooking with the broth. i add 6 cups of water instead of the v8 juice. i add half onion soup mix. and 2 cubes of bouillion. then i add half the head of cabbage… if you don’t like cabbage much then just do a 4th since my way is for half the batch anyway. then i add the mushroom. i don’t use carrots because that has lots of carbs in it, but you can add it. season to taste. i don’t put in green onions either till i actually eat the soup. i chop it up before i have it and place it in there. the same with the tomato, i place it when in my soup when i feel like it cuz if you were to dump that whole thing in your pot… it would be like minestrone lol. so i make the basic soup and each time i have it, i change it a little bit… like i add lime juice, cilantro, and sriracha sauce to give it an asian flavor. u can add any spices, herb you want to it. another day you can make it italian style or southwest, etc.

this is what you can eat for the week. this is only a week long diet. it’s really easy and a quick way to lose weight for an occasion. it’s designed for heart patients to lose weight that are going into surgery.
Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.
Vegetables: Eat until you are stuffed will all fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today.
Mix Days One and Two: Eat all the soup, fruits and vegetables you want. No Baked Potato.
Bananas and Skim Milk: Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.
Beef And Tomatos: Ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomtoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once this day. You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef one one of the beef days (but not both).
Beef and Vegetables: Eat to your heart’s content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have 2 or 3 steaks if you like, with leafy green vegetables. No Baked Potato. Eat your soup at least once.
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables: Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least once this day.
take a multivitamin every day! i totally forgot to take mine this morning :/

Here’s a review of the diet. Just so those jumping on this bandwagon understand it is not a balanced approach to dieting and nutrition but more of a fast.
