Are you skiers? Or just like snow shoeing/snowiness in general? If the former, I think there are some lovely places in New England and COlorado (or Banff in Canada, for example) that would be awesome options! Lake Tahoe in CA is also gorgeous! If you just want to chill in a snowy place and snowshoe, look for mountainy areas in these states that aren’t next to ski resorts (like Estes Park, CO, for example) that offer dramatic scenery without the ski chalet price tag.

Where are you located? That can help determine a location.

If you are skiers you’ll love a cabin honeymoon. We’re actually delaying our honeymoon a few months and spending 10 days skiing in Veil, CO.

My sister had her Honeymoon in Estes Park (in the summer though) in a cabin and they said it was WONDERFUL! If you want to ski, Crestted Butte CO is amazing. The town is great, there are a million places to stay and the skiing was good, but then agian I haven’t skiied much. From the other people who were with us who are experianced, it was good.

Well if you want to stay on east coast you can ski in the mountains of NC, VA, WV, and for a slightly larger mountain – Killington, VT.

Like I said, we’re going to Vail, CO. I love to ski, but wanted a beach honeymoond. Needless to say Fiance is thrilled I finally gave in and we’re going out west. We’re going for 10 days, and actually doing it a little different. We’re going to go for th first 4-5 days ourselves, and then probably have friends fly in for the rest of it. To me, skiing is more fun with a group of people.

@pumpkin4you : If he got his passport now then you’d have it in time.. The Fiance and I just turned in our papers and were reassured it only takes 4 to six weeks to get them back!
