Hello Everyone –
I come in search of help…… I am really not big on favors – and I am not all that big on the numbered table names – so I came up with an idea… I could really use some help though b/c I can’t seem to find what I am looking for….
You see – we live in Arizona and 90% of our guests are from the Northeast and many 1st timers to the desert. You know those little cactus garden souveniers you can buy in airport gift shops? I’d like to find those and use them as favors and put a little label on them with people’s table “assignments”. I thought we could name the tables after various types of cactus.
Wala – Killed 2 birds with one stone….. However, after many many mang Google searches – I can not find those darn “cactus in a box”. I might have to just take a ride over to the airport…… Unless one of you lovely ladies can offer some guidances?!?!

Oh! I want to know where you can get them too! I was thinking of using them in centerpieces (to be a bit greener).

We actually were going to do that too – and here is the best part of that idea – not sure where you live or what the landscaping is like – but – we were going to bring them home after the wedding and put them in our yard. We were going to leave a little note in them so that people don’t run off with them – like many people do with centerpeices.

I persuaded my mom that it would be a good idea . . . we thought about putting several them in a shallow dish and adding some moss (to save the trouble of repotting).
I’m so glad you posted this CaveCreekGirl . . . hopefully someone will come up with a source!

That’s a cute idea! It reminds me of what Kelly from the blog yes, please did for her favors. She made succulents in a box as favors and centerpieces.
She also has a business website where she makes succulent centerpieces and gifts. I’m not sure if she really works with cacti, but it never hurts to ask.
