I have a ring with a split shank, in the spot you point to… mine has a slightly larger diameter stone in that space than the rest, looks more consistent. I can see if I can get a pic later.

It’s a beautiful ring but I would be very concerned about how high those 4 prongs stick up. It looks inconvenient and unnecessary, imho.

Ok. Crappy tablet pic but you can see what I mean. I am really impressed with the craftsmanship on this ring

Prongs always look huge on CADS, keep in mind in the picture that they aren’t holding the stone so they look longer than they will once they’re wrapped around your stone.

That’s a good weight ring, it will last, and just like the prongs looking huge, everything else is kind of amplified in these CADS, I’m sure the spacing won’t look so huge in the actual ring.

Beautiful ring I can’t wait to see it!

yazmid13 :  I only know because of someone telling me mine was a good weight and yours is close to mine lol! I have to keep telling myself that rings online look different in their own way. They are made to look so big because of the macro shot that it does tend to amplify things, but once it’s on your finger, half of those things won’t even be a thought!

I’m excited to see it with the bigger stones, more sparkle is never a bad thing haha

yazmid13 :  I would find that gap after the split shank to be too great for my tastes.  Even though we are looking at blown up pictures, usually after the baby split in this style, the pave will taper.  Maybe you need to have a 2.2 mm, then 2 mm and the last 4 can stay 1.8 mm.  The gaps will become traps for dirt and lotion over time.  Unless they can show you an actual picture of this completed ring ‘as is’ and you are ok with the gap, I would ask them to change the size of the first 2 pave on each side after the split.

yazmid13 :  I can’t find it ): is it under rings too I’m assuming? Clicked your name and the last post was this one.

It looks so amazing! It’s nice to be able to compare them between the two so this worked out for the better haha! Can’t wait to see it done.
