I have an all inclusive reception venue – the cake is included. The bakery offers an option of:
- cake for 50% of guests (approx 50)
- 5 pastries/cakes
- 2 dozen cookies
- 1 dozen chocolate covered strawberries
My questions: Is that enough cake? IS that enough desserts/cookies/strawberries? I can upgrade the cake and pay the balance if I would like

Personally I look forward to the cake and would want a bit just because it’s the wedding cake. But they are the experts.

It depends on the crowd. A reception venue would never do that near me. The Amish/Mennonite have huge sweet tooths and you actually need as much dessert as food if not more! Everyone is telling me to buy two dinner plates per person as opposed to a dinner and dessert plate LOL. You know your crowd better than the venue does. Are they sugar addicts?

They do give the option for the full cake but it’s without the extra desserts. I think I will upgrade both – will that be too much?
