We chose to have our supplied by the venue. The offered and we didn’t see the need to buy our own but there are som really beautiful sets out there if you wanted to buy one 🙂

Most venues should have one that you can use. We didn’t bother getting our own since I kind of see it as a waste of money. If I’m never going to look at it again after the wedding, I don’t need it.

We were planning on just using one from the caterer, but my parents just offered us the one from their wedding, so we’re going with that. It’s engraved with their wedding date, but she’s going to have ours added to the other side.

We have one that belonged to FI’s grandmother. Otherwise wouldn’t really have cared and would have used whatever.

We have a sterling sliver set that has been in my Mom’s family for 4 generations.  She found it the other day and although it is now “mine” I am going to loan it to everyone in my family who gets married from now on – siblings, nieces, etc.  I think it’s sweet that’s it can be a family tradition.
