With the bridesmaids dresses like that the ombre cake would be AWESOME! I would still put some edible starfish or sand dollars on it though.

For a Beach Wedding the first one is a classic (anotherwords, you see that style pretty much everywhere on the Internet that has warm weather & a beach)

The second one is definitely different from the norm… goes well with your Bridesmaid or Best Man Dresses, I kind of like how the cake’s colours are inverted vs the dresses (ie Pink on Top, Turquoise on the Bottom)

Lol, but ya I’d be wanting to add in the yummy icing or white chocolate extras as well !!

    Hope this helps,

I voted for ombre (that’s what we did with ours!). However, the first cake is lovely, too.  You can’t really go wrong!

I haven’t seen any ombre effects with fondant, though…

@dressedinlovexo:  Is there any particular reason you want fondant instead of buttercream?  Buttercream tastes sooo much better.

@dressedinlovexo:  Make sure you have a baker you trust to do the Ombre cake if you go with that.

I’ve seen ombre cakes in real life that did NOT come out the way the B&G expected.
