Man, we’ve discussed this a few times…  And have come to the agreement that as long as I don’t smash cake in his face, cake won’t be smashed in mine.  I just hope I can restrain myself, since I really don’t want my makeup ruined!  But it seems so tempting…

Well, I’m still waiting on photos (I’m sure pros got a couple of gems), but here’s the only one I have so far, just of the aftermath.  He got me a lot worse than I got him, and apparently I thought it was really funny?

Yeah, my makeup and hair were already butchered, so I didn’t mind.  And it made for some good photos and our guests loved it.

@MrsPaperFlowers:  is this an American tradition? I live in Ontario, Canada and I have never been to a wedding where the bride and groom shove cake in each others faces?

I never would have allowed that! My Darling Husband knew better – Luckily, one of the first things wedding-related we talked about was cake in the face and how his mother would kill him if he did that. lol

Honestly, I don’t even understand why people have cake in their hands to smash in the first place.  We fed each other with forks. No one puts their hands near my mouth!

@MrsPaperFlowers:  We didnt smashed cake in each others faces. I went to my brother and SILs wedding and they smashed cake into their Bridesmaid or Best Man & MOHs faces (so of course it was me). I was horrified and so upset. I was in my eyes and up my nose. So, my Darling Husband knew that was off the table. πŸ™‚
