My sister picked up our cake on wedding day from the bakery and it was nbd.

@sugarpea:  Is your venue air-conditioned? Do you have a cool place to store the cake if you have to pick it up the day before?

It can be quite warm in June.

@sugarpea:  I personally would not be keen on picking the cake up myself (and I say this as someone who makes wedding cakes and has to deliver them, lol. I assemble on site though when I’m doing anything more than 2 tiers.) and Bakery B does seem to be a bit unreliable from what you have said. I’d probably go with A and just get some Dutch treats from B.

You NEED a company who can deliver a cake!

Half an hour isn’t at all bad; I was dreading that you might say 2 to 6 hours driving. You could ask someone to help you pick up the cake; you or your FH shouldn’t have to worry about that.

What is the price difference between A and B?

@sugarpea:  Lucky! Everything is overpriced here in Edmonton, AB for wedding cakes… unless we were to go a bakery in Chinatown, lol

$100 isn’t much, but that could be easily your budget for hair/make-up. If I were you, I’d probably delegate a friend for the pick-up. As long as you’ve got a cooler large enough to store it — otherwise, the extra $100 cost to get it delivered would provide a peace of mind.
