Keep the cheesecake idea!  My Fiance and I would do it in a second if we had access to a Cheesecake Factory, but unfortunately, we don’t have them here in Canada.  I would go with one of the caramel pecans, since it’s his favourite, and then two of the original cheesecakes.  After all, they’re ALL delicious!  Laughing

    I much prefer cheesecake.

I prefer cookies actually, but people love their cake.

I say get one of the fancy cheesecakes (turtle) and 2 of the original. Or maybe just 1 original. A lot of people don’t like cheesecake or would just prefer to go with the normal wedding cake if they eat dessert at all.

If you’ve already got the regular cake picked out and this is just for the groom’s cake, totally do a cheesecake, especially if it’s his favorite.

I’d pick the turtle and a regular. Or the turtle, regular, and chocolate. Key Lime cheesecake might be good, but I don’t know how many people will go for it at a wedding.

@bRooklynRocks: They don’t. They used to, but we actually considered this idea and contacted Cheesecake Factory. They said they don’t do that anymore even for extra cost. :/

I think the idea is awesome for a groom’s cake; not everyone likes cheesecake, but that won’t matter because you’re not doing it as your regular wedding cake. Very cool idea that adds a personal touch to your reception!

We did cheesecake and it was so good. We did a plain, cookie dough, and strawberry amaretto.

I think you could safely go with the Cheesecake Factory slices and cut them in half again.  The slices on their own are much larger than a typical slice of wedding cake.  And along with one or two more of the smaller ones, you should be able to feed a fair number of people the cheesecake in addition to the wedding cake.
