We did both. I still remember asking the venue coordinator about plating the cupcakes. She looked and laughed. She said that they weren’t savages and there would be plates for the cupcakes.

I voted other because I am doing both! Im having a cake at the top for Fiance and I to cut into and cupcakes for the rest of the tiers. Happy medium for those who can’t decide.

Both? Using a tiered stand for homemade cake and cupcakes on desert table for flavour variety.

We are doing cupcakes, but they are included in our meal price for our brunch.

We’re going with a full size regular cake for everyone. It’s generally much easier (and less messy) to eat than cupcakes. In many places, cupcakes are much more expensive due to the labor involved. Also, contrary to popular belief, they are made from the exact same recipes using the same ingredients so they are not different foods.

We are having a make your own brownie sundae and strawberry shortcake bar.  Otherwise, I’d totally go with cupcakes 🙂

We’re going with a small cake for us to have the fun cake pictures and with other desserts for our guests – cheesecakes, pies, and some mini-desserts from the caterers.

I do not like cupcakes so we obviously went for cake. My problem with them is that they’re messy…also, I like layers of filling to break up cake, and cupcakes are usually a chunk of cake with a chunk of icing on top. Now if there were a layered cupcake…I would be all about that!

We’re doing both. It’s cheaper to buy enough cake that’ll serve 50 people and then buy enough cupcakes to fill the remaining guests. As a guest, I’d probably prefer the cupcakes.
