I have seen them at several of the weddings/receptions I have been too lately. The guests are usually in awe of the idea of Cake Pops.

i personally do not like the taste but i’m also the person who ordered macarons for my favors when i don’t care for them.  i know my guests love them so i ordered them.

I think its the “new” hottest thing! I like it. My aunt owns a cake pop shop in Cali. I’m doing cupcakes with the cake at the top for cake cutting purposes, however.

I usually want a larger portion of cake than that, but they’re very cute!  Wink

I think it’s cute for a party, but I personally wanted a giant cake to cut in to.  I’m also not really a fan since it’s way too sweet for me.  My husband, who has the biggest sweet tooth even though they were too sweet.

I’m not a fan for a wedding. I feel like its a passing fad. Plus you get such a small amount of cake I don’t think it would be enough for the entire dessert portion of the evening.

@Future Mrs. W:  This is basically my feeling. I think they are a bit faddish for me (although if that’s your thing, cool).

Also, I totally agree that those are NOT enough cake! I’d need 3-4!

OOOH I like it!! We’re getting cupcakes for our wedding, but these are much cooler 🙂 Just the right amount of cake for me!

@Ms Bookworm:  agreed!

You get 4x that much with just a cupcake and they usually aren’t much cheaper.

I think that display is beautiful, and I’d be just as happy with cake pops as regular cake.

My only problem would be that I’m greedy so I’d need to take like 4 to satisfy my sugar need which would make me look greedier than just having a large slice of cake lol.

I would want cake.  A cake pop is a snack, not dessert IMO.

I feel like cakepops are cute but they are going to seriously date your wedding in 20 years. I can picture future kids cracking up at the pics of the super “2000s” cake pop trend.
