I would definitely go with cake pops. My SIL made me some for my birthday, and it was like the most amazing thing I’ve ever tasted. Holy moly. She had mixed icing with the cake though, if that makes a difference. However, I really don’t understand or enjoy caramel apples. I mean, the caramel is all sticky, it come off, you may get a bit of apple with it, but may not. . . and then you’re left with a half-eaten apple and no more caramel.

It sounds like your having a whole dessert buffet.. So Im going to say carmel apples. They are delicious you can put different toppings on them, and they are refreshing…

I think cake pops are adorable, but I don’t like eating them. I’m just not a fan of the texture of mashed up cake. Plus if you’re already serving real cake, it’s a bit superfluous.
I think candy apples are a great idea, but I would look for the kind that are coated in red hard candy, they’d be less messy than the kind covered in gooey caramel. Plus they’d be easier for guests to take home as favours if they don’t want to eat them right away.

I would prefer to eat the caramel apples, but they are awfully messy. Maybe just stick with your traditional cake and then give away the caramel apples as favors?

What if you did Carmel Apples but had a couple apple cutters there so guests could slice them. Makes it way easier to eat. I’m a bigger fan of the apple idea.
