To each his own…

&.  To Thine Own Self Be True…

Forgive me, but I do not understand why anyone wants to do this.  Did you or did you not spend hours getting ready?

I was in the ladies room, at a wedding one time, and the bride came in to clean herself up. She was frantic, to say the least. Cake was in her hair, down her gown – she had to drop the top of her gown, to clean herself. Smearing a little icing on the face, may be fun, but smashing your hand in someone’s face …

Everyone should do what they on on their day- but I’m not into the cake smashing. No one has ever left a wedding saying “I really wish the bride and groom would have smashed cake in eachother’s face”

I would kill my SO if he smashed cake in my face. And he knows that!

My hair, makeup, dress… I shudder just thinking about it!

Cute pictures OP.   Darling Husband and I passed on this one, and used forks to feed each other cake. I had heard too many horror stories (including a bride who got cake smashed up her nose) for me to even consider doing this!

Every time I tried to talk to Darling Husband about the cake smash, we would never come to an answer in if we were going to do it or not…. So as a surprise, after cutting the cake and getting all the pretty pictures, I pulled out my poncho and goggles.

LVtennisgirl80:  They did at ours. We werent planning on doing a cake smash, but I guests went crazy when we werent going to do it, and started chanting at us. So we did it.

allyfally:  You ladies look like you’re having so much fun, and that’s what it’s all about!! Love it!!

I’m at work, so not at a computer with my wedding photos, but my Darling Husband and I spontaneously usied the icing to paint “moustaches” on each others faces. So fun! It helped continue to set the theme of the day being about laughter, relaxed vibes, and fun and people got a kick out of it.

Looks like fun and the pics are cute! I however was like hell no lol I made sure my husband was not smashing it in my face. I told him I didn’t want him to ruin the $125 worth of make up on my face. I did managed to at least get him in the face! Lol

Mrs_JB:  I am not a fan of the cake smash psat mid 20’s either, but do whatever the hell you want. And I don’t understand why people had to leave negative comments about it. Shrug your shoulders and move on. I think the photos are cute and I will kill my Fiance if he does it to me.
