Just wondering? Personally I don’t think I would want to have to worry about getting cake all over my makeup’ed face, and possibly my hair and dress….Still, I think our family (being our family….) would think it is absolutely hilarious. Thoughts?

Smushing the cake really annoys me, but I don’t mind cake feeding.

I personally don’t like it. There is too much money put into the dress and hair and make-up that I think it is not a good idea. But, to each their own.

@arsing89: +1, My Darling Husband cut his grooms cake with his Best Man so they could cake smash each other, I wanted no part of it!

While the husband and I are playful people, we did not smash the cake in each others faces because I have seen this go terribly wrong!
At my friends wedding her husband got way out of hand and she literally looked like she dunk her head in a cake – the entire right side of her face was covered and it had smeared all into her hair. 🙁

@mchitt329: I think that we be cuter than me with my FI! Plus, they would find it funnier if they got it all over then I would….

depends. have seen some horrendous videos on youtube where groom got overexcited and smushed it all over her face and neck. i dont want to mess up makeup or dress
can be funny if done with restraint

I think it’s rude and definitely not cute

@AnnieAAA: Oh no! I have enough faith in my Fiance that he would not get carried away. But…I still don’t think I would trust him enough to do it with him…

We used forks so the smushing wasn’t so much of an option. …but I managed to drop the cake on my husband’s shoe. Yeah, I’m awesome. I got it in his mouth on the second try. haha

To quote my father: “That woman has just spent far too much time and money trying to look perfect on her wedding day, and you’re going to smash CAKE in her face? Classic juvenile move. I have no respect for that.”

@shrubfish09: I’d be PISSED and so would Fiance. He’s a neat freak (crazy Virgo pretty boy lol) so that wouldn’t work for either one of us. But for another couple, it could be cute…for them.
