So i just found out that I messed up and didn’t reserve my cake stand with the baker so I am currently searching for something. My question is….can you put a three tiered cake on a pedistal cake stand or does it need to be on a plateau cake stand like the baker offers?
I would LOVE to do a Milk Glass or some other vintage looking cake stand like this.
Instead of the big thick silver footed ones that the baker has like these.
My worry is though that the glass stand wouldn’t be a stable or that it couldn’t hold the weight. Do you guys happen to know?

I would ask your baker. I am sure they will know exactly what you need.

You can put a 3 tier cake on a pedestal stand, as long as it is strong enough to
hold the weight of your cake. Often, a handmade pedestal is the way to go, since
the maker will know how much weight it can handle. There are lovely vintage look
porcelain pedestal cake stands that might work for you. Here are some options for you to view:

Make sure you know the size of your biggest layer. I found the perfect cake stand but it was two inches too small. I would just ask your baker specifically what size you would need.
