The weather was so crummy here this morning that I decided to play with all the wedding materials I got throughout the week instead of venturing out of the house on more errands.
First up: cake stand.
It was super easy, too. I ordered a 16×4 round dummy cake from Global Sugar Art, since I couldn’t find a local bakery supplier where I am. That was the most expensive part because of shipping but I think it ended up costing me $20-$25. I had a ton of ribbon left over, thanks to changing my mind a bunch on other projects, so I spiraled that around the dummy cake securing it with hot glue. Then, glued on a 16″ mirror I got at Joann’s, using a coupon, for about $3.

The bakery had asked me for a sample of this same ribbon when I ordered the cake so they could color match the icing for this design (but with real orchids):
