I’m doing the same thing except I don’t need covers because we will be indoors. I saw some with covers at thrift stores, resturant supply stores and on craigslist. Also, try amazon.

Target has some nice, basic clear glass covered cake stands by anchor hocking for $9.99 – I bought 2 of those and found 1 made by the food Network (still new in the box) at a second hand store. Ebay has some really unique ones, but they tend to be fairly expensive!

PS – they are not on target.com, but they were still available in store a couple weeks ago when I was considering buying another 🙂

I am actually incorporating cake stands into my centerpieces.  I LOVE to bake and have been collecting vintage looking stands to put my vases on to add height.  After the wedding I’m keep a few of my favorites and giving away the rest to my mom, mother in law, grandmas, etc.

I’ve found some good ones on Ebay.  There are lots!  It just stinks to have to pay for shipping, but there is quite a selection.  I’ve also found some more simple ones at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross.  Good luck!

Bed, Bath & Beyond also has $10 Glass Cake Domes.  I registered for one (already got it!) and it’s lovely!
