I found one for $1 at the local thrift store and got it there.  🙂  I don’t think I’d pay more for it–we’re also not investing in a special cake cutting set or anything, we’re just bringing a knife and cake server from home because.. who’se even gonna see that?

I bought mine at home goods, replaced the ribbon and wrapped it with rope (nautical themed wedding).  It fit my theme so much better than the ones offered by the baker and was cheaper to buy it than to rent one. I have no use for it now and it doesn’t really fit into my cabinets, but I can’t bear to let go of it.  I think it cost me around $15 and I’ve seen them at Home Goods fairly recently.

I bought this one, to be used at my daughter’s wedding. Her wedding colors included gold and the hotel only had silver. It cost around $120, maybe because that was with express shipping? I told the hotel to keep it as it was fairly large, we had no use for it, and we had enough things to haul back home with us.

I wouldn’t know what to do with it after the wedding so we’re renting a stone urn from our event designer…

Cake will look something like this…

I had to check pictures to see if we had one, we didn’t. If you would need to sneak it into your budget I would just skip it, I don’t recall ever noticing if the cake is on a stand at weddings I have been to.

We rented one like the bottom one of yours from our cake baker. For the groom’s cake, we used a crystal cake stand that we already had. (DH got it as a wedding gift for his first marriage)

I have a Ross and  TJ Maxx right next to my house (a block away) so I am just going to check there until I see something I like 🙂

To be honest, I think I prefer the look without a stand? IDK in your pictures it just looks so clean and elegant where as some of the stands are a bit over the top

Bought one at Home Goods and sold it on craigslist after the wedding.

We didn’t have one. I didn’t think it was necessary. I wanted to spend money on other things. If you find one for cheap that you like go for it, but they are not needed!

We rented one from our baker.  It was just easier that way
