We did our cake tastings before we picked a bakery. I am pretty sure this is normal.

I’m pretty sure you are supposed to taste the cake before you choose, at least that’s what we did. How else are you supposed to pick a bakery? We went to one, tried a few different cake flavors/combos that I chose and  sat down with someone looked at catalogs and decided on a design.

Do tastings before you pick. Especially if you know what flavors your leaning towards.

Our tasting occurred prior to our signing any type of a contract.  We only did one tasting with one baker, but her cake is amazing, and we loved what we chose!

We did our tasting before we booked. We ended up picking the first one we saw, but if you can’t taste before, you have no way of knowing if they make good cake!

The easy part, for you, since you’re looking at Whole Foods and Wegmans, is that you can just buy a cupcake or small cake there on your own … does the other baker you’re interested in have a store front? You can do the same there – so easy!

@inky_1:  So you’ll be fine! Pick the best one then go have your tasting!
