I’ve got nothing good. My only suggestion for an alternative is fresh flowers on colors to match the rest of the wedding.

Do you two have some hobbies or anything in particular that you share an interest in?

Wow that’s a tough one. What about a rustic looking frame with a black/white photo of you and fh in it? Depending on how vintage you want to go maybe you can do a little dress up and where one of those flapper hats or style your hair for that era…?

ok… totally random idea, but I thought I’d throw ya something…  What about a small model car like a 1940’s Rolls Royce wedding car, for example, with a little just married sign and streamers on the back?  You can easily find model cars to fit the era and just add your little wedding-ish details?  Again, random idea but those cars were hugely popular back then, especially for weddings.

Or… what about a 1940’s style woman’s hat and a bow tie?

Or… maybe some miniature musical instruments or something else to represent the “Big Band” era…

No idea if these are anything helpful at all, but it’s the first few things that popped into my mind!  Good luck, can’t wait to see what you come up with!

What would a cake have been topped with in the 40s? When I think o the 40s I think of old Hollywood elegance and classic, restrained style… some kind of simple flower? Or do you want something more obviously 40s than that–like a little plane (WW2), or a saxophone, or… hm. This is hard! 🙂
